Different Seating Sizes

Our Foundation Line includes models with small, medium, large, and even extra large seats and backs to accommodate users of varying physical characteristics. And thanks to our recent line reconciliation and freshening of our upholstery collection, it’s even easier to select a model and color that fits you. Let’s take a look:

Smaller users should consider our Bridgeport series. The baseline model features an ergonomically designed, 18.5” wide x 16.6” deep x 3” thick concave seat with an internal seat board bumperguard. Its nimble 14.5” wide x 9.5” high backrest provides lumbar support and enhanced range of motion. Bridgeport chairs have a 350-lb. weight capacity.

Those with a mid-sized build should check out our Elite series. Among our most popular sellers, Elite models come standard with an 18.5” wide x 17” deep x 3” thick ergonomic seat with four-way contouring and an internal seat board bumperguard. A 15.5” wide x 14.5” high backrest delivers lumber support and all-day comfort. Elite chairs have a 350-lb. capacity.

With its roomy, 21” wide x 19 deep x 3” thick, saddle-shaped seat with waterfall front and generously proportioned 18” wide x 19” high backrest, our Amherst series is a primary choice for larger users. Providing lumbar support, ergonomic functionality and a level of comfort that helps keep workers performing at their best. Amherst seating has a 350-lb. capacity.

For larger users seeking an intensive solution, we’ve got the chair for you, too. Our Intensive Plus series chair sports a 500-lb. weight capacity and executive-style comfort. Its saddle-shaped, contoured seat is upholstered using a sewn-seams technique to help inhibit foam compression over time. And its high, contoured, Scepter back envelops users, supporting lumbar and kidney areas.

All the models summarized above can be outfitted for technical and scientific applications, including specific cleanroom level and/or static-control packages, and with an array of other options. And remember, thanks to the modular construction of our seating and our online chair builder, you can mix and match nearly any of our seats, backs, bases, controls and other components to create a custom seating solution all your own.
