Customize your seating experience by adding the options below. Refer to the options codes listed on individual chair pages to determine if an option listed here is compatible with your chair selection.

There are additional charges for options. Add option codes to the end of the model number following any performance packages requested. Not all options are available with all models OR performance packages. Contact BioFit or a BioFit Representative for more information.

Casters/Glides

(note: caster options can only be added to models containing the letter R in the part #/mfg. code)

BPG Oversized, 2" diameter plastic base glides

CRC Dual-wheel polyurethane casters for hard floors (acceptable for clean room use)

GFR Wide dual-wheel casters for grated clean room floors (not available in an ESD version)

LKRO Conductive dual-wheel casters lock when the seat is occupied

LKRU Conductive dual-wheel casters resist movement when the seat is not occupied

LRO Dual-wheel soft casters lock when the seat is occupied

LRU Dual-wheel soft casters resist movement when the seat is not occupied

MLR Dual-wheel soft manual locking casters

NGC Nylon glide covers for standard glides

NSG Non-skid glides

R Single-wheel, thermoplastic rubber, non-marring ball bearing casters for hard floors

STR Dual-wheel non-marring conductive casters, appropriate for clean room use

XR Dual-wheel carpet casters

Footrings

ATF Adjustable-height, 20" diameter cast aluminum footring; recommended for C, N, P bases with seat-height greater than 22"; not recommended for the T base

G 20" diameter chrome-plated footring replaces powder-coated footring on T base or is permanently attached to C or P base. Not available on N base. Recommended for C and P bases in the 23"-27" range

Seat Controls

EXE – Executive Tilt Control – pneumatic seat-height adjustment, backrest-height adjustment, backrest tilt adjustment, seat and backrest swivel/tilt in unison, tilt tension control and single lever seat-tilt lock in any position. Not available on models with a maximum seat height of 26" or taller.

FFAC – Free Float Articulating Control – pneumatic seat-height adjustment, backrest-height adjustment, seat and backrest tilt independently with separate levers and can free-float or lock into place

Seats

A (mfg. code first digit A) saddle-shaped, contoured seat with waterfall front, 21" wide x 19" deep x 3" thick

MOC (mfg. code first digit M) ergonomic seat with waterfall front, 21" wide x 19" deep x 3" thick

S (mfg. code first digit S) shallow ergonomic seat with waterfall front, 21" wide x 17" deep x 3" thick;
intended for use by individuals of shorter stature. Not available on chairs with C1 or C10 performance packages

VU Upholstered underwrap in the same upholstery as the seat

WS Round maple wood seat, 13" diameter x 1" thick for stools with steel seats

Z Pullover seat cushion, 1 1/2" thick; recommended for use only on stools with steel seats

Backrests

EMB (mfg. code second digit M) Larger ergonomic backrest, 18" wide x 19" high, for both lower and upper back support; available on chairs with a seat height up to and including 26"

ERN (mfg. code second digit A) narrow, 8" wide x 12" high, spinal support with lumbar curve

Armrests

ARS Height and width adjustable self-skinned urethane armrests; not available on C1 or C10 performance packages

ARU Height and width adjustable upholstered pads armrests; not available on C1 or C10 performance packages

PSAS Height-adjustable with self-skinned urethane padsarmrests; not available on C1 or C10 performance packages

PSAU Height-adjustable with upholstered padsarmrests; not available on C1 or C10 performance packages

Paint Finish Option

SPF Special paint finishes are available. Please contact us for a selection of colors or help in matching an existing color.

Fire Retardant Options (note: all BioFit upholstered chairs meet California Technical Bulletin 117 as standard)

C-133 Special upholsteries, foam or barriers (as needed) to meet California Technical Bulletin 133 and Boston Fire Code. Upholstery choices may be limited. Contact us for details.
